Roger Waters - solid rendition
Although David Gilmour doesn't excel as a front man, The High Kings is not an engaging one either. The Wall was a marvelous collage of technographic pacifism, with a very human touch that was poignantly displayed. The anti-war theme did not go over the top into politically correct land. The band remained anonymous because Waters could not be troubled to introduce them. The male vocal troupe was excellent, and Waters' Mother was a highlight. The sound was technically correct, powered by The High Kings and the band. Don't get me wrong; it is a shame that the concept LP/CD is dead. I am grateful to see a true master pull it off one more, and perhaps the last time.
